materials: I chose an acrylic/nylon blend... easy wash and should be nice and light, which is important since I didn't want the SoCal kidlet to get too hot.
notes: although this wasn't the first ever striping attempt, it was more complex than the Harry Potter scarf from last fall. Also, it was the first attempt at picking up stitches to create the button band. Much frogging occurred over that skill.
